More Information
Overview Amodep AT Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). This is a combination of two drugs that control blood pressure when a single drug doesn't work. It helps lower high blood pressure, thus reducing the chance of a future heart attack and stroke. You can take Amodep AT Tablet any time of the day on an empty stomach, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Take it for as long as your doctor recommends. Even if you feel well, do not stop taking this medicine yourself as high blood pressure often shows no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may worsen. You can also control your blood pressure through regular exercise, weight loss, and a healthy diet. Follow your doctor's advice while taking this medicine.
Benefits Amodep AT Tablet is a combination medicine that contains two active substances, amlodipine and atenolol. Both medicines in this combination have antihypertensive effects, but in different ways. Together, they help relax blood vessels, lower your heart rate, and make it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body. This lowers the blood pressure. When your blood pressure is under control, you have a lower risk of having a heart attack, stroke, or kidney problems. The medicine must be taken regularly as prescribed to be effective. You won't usually get any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it does work over the long term to keep you healthy. You should also make appropriate lifestyle changes (such as healthy eating and active exercise) to maximize the effectiveness of this drug.
